DOWNTOWN November 23, 1988 -- LIES ABOUT THE CMJ CONFERENCE

 I wrote this piece as satire, but wanted it to appear as a real report. I guess the DOWNTOWN Gods were afraid of getting sued or something, so they wrote in big letters:

Actually it wasn't Tokyo at all. It was a small hospital in a hick suburb... Soubudai to be exact. I was the only foreigner in the Japanese hospital... And here's the story:
